I write about country music. Mostly.

Quad Citians can still snatch some fantastic seats for this weekend’s Tim and Faith show

When Tim and Faith’s tour bus rolls into the Quad Cities this weekend, it will be the first time they’ve brought their traveling band to town since 2006, according to the Quad City Times.

Dan and I got tickets the day they went on sale last winter but a quick dive onto Ticketmaster indicates there are still great seats available. For $116.50, you can grab seats in either Section Y or Section Z, in what appear to be little notched-out chunks of seats right next to the stage.  Nice and close and personal. Also for $116.50, there’s a smattering of seats across the rest of the floor sections and in the lower bowl. And for just $22 plus fees, there are a good number in the upper bowl. My friend Erin says those are the best in the house.

C’mon folks! Make it worthwhile for the McGraws to want to return in another 10 years.

I have great expectations. And I hope this show delivers but I expect it will. Between the two of them, their satchel of hits is huge and they are both pros. I anticipate lots of big, dramatic moments, beau-coup costume changes, epic production value and great singing.

This tour kicked off in April and Saturday’s show will be #30 for the 80-city tour.  Opener for our Soul2Soul stop is the high energy Canadian brother duo (plus one), High Valley. I’m familiar only with Make You Mine which reached about 20 last year on the US country charts. Openers in other cities compile as a who’s who list of budding country talent: Cam (whose voice, gorgeousnous and sweet personality make me wonder why she’s not a bigger star. I don’t get that at all.); Brent Cobb and Margo Price (who will both support Chris Stapleton here in October); Maggie Rose (a lovely songwriter and frequent Opry performer); Brandy Clark (who made one of the best albums last year with Big Day in a Small Town); Steve Moakler (Love Drunk is irresistible.) and a bunch more.

In anticipation of this weekend’s Soul2Soul outing I am sharing a fellow fan’s playlist, “tim and faith!” from Spotify: Tim and Faith
